Especially soft and warm Tibetan carpets

I found a unique Tibetan carpet shop last week, which located in the northeast part of Beijing near the Fraternal Cooperation Hotel. They offer exquisite Tibetan handmade carpets and classical furniture to put in your home.

I saw a huge display of carpets and tapestries in that shop. All of them are soft and warm to the touch, and they have different beautiful colors and patterns.

Guess what? All of the items in the shop are entirely handmade!

I couldn’t keep myself from touching a carpet. Wow! It felt so soft, velvety and elastic, and the whole carpet had a warm, shiny luster. It was remarkable!

The old Tibetan-style furniture also looked quite amazing. For example, one cabinet was red with some butterfly patterns on it.

Such beautiful handmade lamps!

I visited an Art Market near the Avic Hotel yesterday, and here I recommend a lamp shop named “Ren He Rong Yi”.

They offer different kinds of wood carvings and lamps. I was attracted by the wooden decorations and beautiful paintings on the lamps. Strips of copper, silver and silk were inlaid on the wood, making the lamps both unique and useful.

When I talked to the owner of Ren He Rong Yi, Mr. Xu, I was surprised to find out that he designed and made all products in the shop. He told me that he owned a small manufactory where everything is made. And he also uses this shop as a studio for him to paint and design.

Besides lamps, they also have many other works of art, like wood carvings, jad cravings, and stone paintings. Everything there is handmade, and they accept custom orders. If you would like a custom-designed carving, don’t miss this chance to order your favorite decorations.

Even thought their products are so exquisite, the price is not very high; you can even pay as little as 400 CNY for one of these traditional Chinese lamps!
