Having your girl break up with you is one of the most hurtful things that can happen when you are a young man. As you get older, you may think it gets easier, but it doesn’t. Sure the hurt may feel different when you are younger, and you may handle it differently but in the end it’s the same. If you are experiencing heartbreak like this and hurt by the fact my girlfriend is breaking up with me, then you must understand what has caused it. It’s either you, her, or someone else.

#1. You.

You may have some qualities that drive her crazy and I’m not talking about good qualities. What is it that irritates her? Is there something you are doing that would cause her to want to leave? You know firsthand what it is, if it is something you’re doing. It could be something that you find amusing or fun , but she absolutely can’t stand.

If you plan on keeping her, stop, bottom line. Decide, on what is more important to you. Get things checked out for her, especially if it’s something you know you are struggling with or she knows you may be struggling with. Do your best to get it taken care of, at the least for her.

#2. Her.

It may be something she’s experiencing that is pushing the two of you away from each other. There could be many reasons why. Trying to keep things as normal as possible is the best thing for you to do. She will need some space while she is figuring out things. Don’t act like nothing is wrong, be cool, but let her know there are some issues to discuss. You might have to let her go.

If she decides to return, put things into a healthy situation and move forward. But if she decides not to, then respect her decision. Stay strong and don’t give up, remember girlfriend breaking up with you may only be temporary.

#3. Someone Else.

The cause of girlfriend breaking up can be due to someone she’s now involved with. It hurts and causes serious heartache to hear this, but there is nothing you can really do to change this. If her heart and mind is gone, she’s gone. Don’t make a huge mistake by becoming violent or acting out, as this will only lead to a not so good situation becoming very bad.

If you keep your composure and have restraint from being emotional, you will be showing her that she is possibly making the wrong move. In all honesty, if she was unfaithful with you, odds are she will be with anyone else as well. So, you’re in a better situation not being with her anyway.

When girlfriend breaking up happens, these three reasons are normally one of the main causes, but it could have stemmed from other situations as well. This is a difficult process to go through, but you will come out on the other side stronger and more self assured. Be sure to keep everything in perspective because this will help you if girlfriend breaking up with you happens again.
