The Australian Outback Adventure is referring to a dinner show presented by R.M. Williams, an Australian icon. It is a show full of outback music, drama and action. It is a Gold Coast attraction that is permanently set in a giant 1000 seat arena, with a larger then life cast of characters and amazing animals. When you enter into the doors you are split into two groups and receive stockmans hats in either oatmeal or maroon. Your colour of your hat decides what station you will be cheering for during the battle for top station.

You will either be cheering for the Austral Downs or the Wondola Station. Some of the competitions you will cheer for are the races where the men are hanging from the saddles to get their flags across the finish line, and a race to see who can hang the most hats on the homestead. Their is also the traditional storytelling, bush poetry, campfire, Waltzing Matilda and The Man From Snowy River performances.

While you are watching the performances and races you will be served some tasty, authentic Aussie BBQ dinner. It is a three course meal that starts with mixed Queensland salad and mango dressing, your next dish is a barbecued beef tenderloin steak with rich gravy, Kakadu plum sauce, garden vegetables and Australian Damper. For dessert you will enjoy baked Pavlova with Queensland berries, country cream and Bush Billy Tea. Children can have a choice of beef sausages and there are also vegetarian dishes offered, upon request. Beer, wine and soft drinks are served throughout the show.

The cast and crew are stunt riders, stockmen and women who capture the imagination of the audience with their skills with animals. There are 59 horses and other favourite Australian animals such as 11 Longhorn and 11 Santa Gertrudis cattle, three camels, 50 sheep, three dogs and five piglets! All of the animals in Australian Outback Spectacular have been trained by using positive reinforcement. Highly experienced Horse Master Tony Jablonski and Assistant Horse Master Brett Walsh have been involved in training animals for live shows, television and movies for many many years.

The dogs that appear are short haired border collies and were chosen as this breed typifies the type of working dog in Australia. These delightful and highly intelligent dogs will thrill and captivate you as they display their skills at mustering sheep during the show and its hard to know who enjoys it the most - the dogs or the audience!
